Please ensure you are either already registered or are planning to be registered with the GPhC from mid August/September 2019, as we need you ready for on-call commitments in October 2019.

Brexit update - our understanding is that if you are an EU candidate and apply to the GPhC before 29/03/19 then your application should be processed.

If you are pre-registration pharmacist sitting your first assessment in September 2019 you will not be eligible to apply this time.

The STEP Foundation Programme provides competency based training, education and experience over three years. The programme equips pharmacists with the skills and knowledge to provide the highest quality professional care and progress their careers.

Pharmacists are employed by one of our five base sites and gain confidence and competence through a structured foundation programme.

Following that, there are a series of six month placements, with a choice from an exciting range of specialities and the opportunity to work at different hospitals.

The Joint Programmes Board (JPB) Diploma in General Pharmacy Practice (DipGPP) is fully integrated into the STEP programme and all STEP Pharmacists enrol on the diploma programme during their induction period.
